Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Technician

The program is designed to prepare students to gain knowledge and hands-on experience in energy efficiency and renewable energy to obtain employment within the Weatherization or Solar industry. This course will focus on weatherization and solar terminology. The program will focuses on weatherization testing, analyzing of energy saving technology, and Photovoltaic design and installation of  a solar panel system. The program will cover both the Department of Energy’s core competencies and North American Board of Certified Energy Practioners (NABCEP) requirements.

Prerequisites:          

Possess a valid CA Drivers License. Score 216 or above in Math and 226 or above in Reading CASAS Assessment.

350 hours/10 Weeks

Daily Schedule:      

Mon-Fri; 8 to 4pm
