The California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) & Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA) programs offers income-qualified customers a discount of 20% or more off their monthly utility bills.
*Services provided are based on program specific eligibility requirements, including the utility provider, income, household size, and the home assessment. A final assessment is completed at the time of installation and feasible services will be identified at that time.

How much do the services cost?
Through Proteus and the Energy Savings Assistance Program (ESAP), the services, home improvements, and appliances are absolutely FREE to the customer.
How do I sign up?
Call today to schedule a same day or next day appointment and an Energy Specialist will be sent to your home. Afternoon and weekend appointments are also available. The home assessment is FREE and we complete the application for you. You will also receive tips on how to conserve energy and information on other Proteus services.
