SUMMARY: Performs programmatic duties to include program orientation, eligibility determination, outreach and referral, and assist ESR/Case Manager with assessment, development of OJT/WEX contracts and follow up services. THIS IS FOR THE YOUTH PROGRAM.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Completes application for services form and determines eligibility for various programs.
  1. Assists with testing, assessment and evaluation of customers, as well as facilitating internal processes as necessary.
  1. Assists with the preparation and submission of training documents (OJT, WEX contracts, etc.) to training sites.
  1. Assists with contacting training site, partner, and other agency personnel to ensure promptness of paperwork.
  1. Reviews accuracy of training documents submitted by training sites.
  1. Assists with the training evaluation process and reimbursement process.
  1. Assists with retention services including monitoring at job sites, post-placement and post-exit follow-up.
  1. Ensure that all necessary POSSE or other required MIS data entry is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

1.        Initiates and maintains personal contact with youth, employers, job services and community agencies who express interest in the job training concept and opportunities.

2.        Provides supportive services to at-risk youth and interprets and/or makes appropriate referrals.

3.        Conducts initial assessment interviews and interprets testing results as part of initial assessment.

4.        Places youth in subsidized and unsubsidized employment.

5.        Provides job search assistance to participants.

6.        Assesses skill levels and service needs of participants, including administering and interpreting objective assessment, test results, completing formal objective assessment, to include training and employment needs of the youth, and determining supportive services needs of customers.

SUMMARY: Serve as general consultant and liaison for the Weatherization Program and any other energy-saving program products or measures. Services to include the delivery and installation for qualified customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Troubleshoots, repairs, and      replaces heating source and water heaters in residential homes. (Dual pack      units, wall furnace, direct vent furnace, and FAU.)
  2. Operates a variety of equipment      such as hand tools and diagnostic instruments (monoxers and duct blaster).
  3. Provides a materials list and an      accurate estimate in order to complete jobs.
  4. Prioritizes and manages different      tasks to be completed.
  5. Follows all safety regulations.
  6. Ensures quality and compliance of      all installations and repairs to utility standards and city building      codes.
  7. Follows and implements verbal and      written directions.
  8. Cleans and fine tunes furnace and      FAUs.
