STATUS: Non-exempt

SUMMARY: In a support role, provides services in the areas of reception, customer greeting, outreach, orientation, resource room usage (including documentation and data entry), supplies and equipment maintenance, and assists SCM/PC with coordination of office staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Answers phones, greets customers; ensures customer sign-in, data entry and surveys, as necessary; conducts orientation, and screens customers for initial eligibility; schedules appointments.Assists customers in use of resource room equipment, software, forms & supplies to conduct job search or educational activities; Monitors customers' use for appropriateness; addresses & reports violations, as necessary.Daily: ensures all service center and resource room equipment is fully stocked with paper & toner; monitors operation of equipment and clears errors, jams, and schedules repair or maintenance, as necessary.Maintains an awareness of Proteus and Community resources, makes appropriate referrals; provides outreach and recruitment for programs, services and activities, as directed.Completes routine building maintenance, safety, and fire equipment checks & reports; attends related meetings, as directed.Monitors use of In/Out board by office staff, reports irregularities to SCM/PC; assists in supervision of volunteers, interns, Work Experience participants or partner staff, as directed.Maintains supply room in an orderly fashion; orders supplies and janitorial service through Distribution Center or vendors, as appropriate; enters these and other PRs, as directed.Maintains community service bulletin boards/displays and EEO, other legally required or Proteus policy postings in an orderly and temporally relevant fashion. Completes documentation as required for office, divisional, operational, fiscal, or human resources department purposes.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent and certificate of completion from a college or technical school; or six months of directly-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Moderate computer skills required for data entry, Word, Excel, and other software programs, as required for the position.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

SUMMARY: Serve as general consultant and liaison for the Weatherization Program and any other energy-savings program products or measures. Services include the delivery and installation for qualified customers.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  1. Makes appointments with customers for the installation of weatherization measures.
  2. Installs or repairs windows, exterior doors, and entrance doors modifications.
  3. Installs and repairs any damaged glass or window units on the job sites as needed.
  4. Installs and repairs water heaters, furnaces, and other weatherization measures.
  5. Installs any material according to program standards and ensures that the work will pass program and Southern California Gas inspection.
  6. Ensures client satisfaction by exhibiting consideration, courtesy, professionalism, and promptness in carrying out all duties of the program.
  7. Keeps accurate records of inventory and installments.
  8. Travels to meetings, trainings, and program updates meetings/conferences, as needed.
  9. Loads and unloads products from trucks, as needed.
  10. Keeps trucks and Energy Program’s portion of the Distribution Center clean and free from debris.
  11. Follows all safety rules and procedures pertaining to job duties and responsibilities.
  12. Immediately reports to supervisor any unsafe conditions or problem areas.

SUMMARY: Serves as general consultant and liaison to the low-income community by conducting outreach, performing assessments, determining eligibility, and being responsible for product inventory control.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned 

1. Promotes to the public and availability of existing energy programs via personal presentation, mailers, etc.

2. Recruits and determines eligibility of families under applicable guidelines for available energy conservation projects.

3.  Provides energy information to customers.

4.  Completes an assessment, identifying the needs of the customer as they relate to the energy programs and products available.

5.  Makes appropriate referrals to other energy conservation agencies/programs, if and when needed.

7.         Travels as required to prospective and varied work sites, special training sessions, etc. 

8.         Accountable for any inventory issued, utilizing appropriate forms and procedures. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
